Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of March 31st 2020.
Quick shout out to let people know that things here in my little corner of the world are as okay as they can be right now. I hope the same is true for everyone else.
So now, back to the cards – the method of doing these is not my original idea – I was inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. When our kidlets were young, hubby & I started doing a bedtime ritual with them that we called the “Safe Place.” When the youngest was eight, she asked me to email the words to her, so she’d always know how to say them. A few years ago, I put it together as a graphic for a post, and used a picture of her from a family camping trip. I thought it would be a good time to share it again.
Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. Page of Cups
The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.
Tarot Tidbit: The Page of Cups was last back in the fall, on November 26th, 2019, when it was also in the first position.
2. Two of Cups
Makes the world go ’round. While it’s easy to see this is a card about love, what’s not so obvious is that it also represents other relationships, not just the romantic one between two (or more) people. This could be a recent furry/feathered addition to the family, a passion for a creative process (writing, painting, knitting), or even something as simple as discovering a new favorite show to binge-watch (like Farscape or Jessica Jones). It’s also a reminder that the first, most important love we should have is for ourselves. As the late, great Lucille Ball once said, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Two of Cups was also last seen back in the fall, in the first position, on November 12th, 2019.
3. The Hanged Man
Let go. Sometimes when you struggle to untie a knot, the more you pull at it, the tighter it gets. You’ve been tugging at a rope (an argument, a relationship, a situation) trying to get it untangled, but it’s only making things worse. Now it’s time to surrender, at least for a little while. Decide not to decide. Let things be for now. Do as the late, great John Lennon did when he was, “just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll. No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go.” You might even find that when you stop pulling, the knot releases on its own.
Tarot Tidbit: The Hanged Man was last seen, also in the third position, this past winter on December 31st, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of March 31st 2020! Bright blessings to you!
