Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of May 12th 2020

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of May 12th 2020.

First, for those who’ve been asking about our car situation – the engine finally arrived at the garage last week (after about a month and a half!) and our mechanic said he should be able to start work on getting it in to our car today. In theory, if all goes well, we should have wheels again in another week or two. And just to make things more interesting, we had to have our eldest’s car towed from our driveway last night, to another local garage. In trying to look at the silver linings, at least both cars are acting up at a time that we aren’t using them nearly as much, for obvious reasons. 😜

Okay, now to get on with the reading – the method of doing these is not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. While we were lucky that we only had snow flurries off and on all day Saturday (and yes, it was a weather record breaking day in New England), some of our neighbors to the North got six to ten inches of the stuff. So for today’s spacer graphics, I decided to go with some with flowers, to remind me of what they look like…lol!

1. The Lovers

Love. True love. You’ve found someone or something that speaks to your soul. Now comes the hard part – keeping that love going. See how (on the card) the man is looking at the woman, but she is staring at the angelic creature in the sky? He has to trust when she says she’s seeing it, and she needs to communicate what she sees. Trust and communication. If this is about your soul’s passion, you need to trust yourself and communicate with those involved. Did I mention trust and communicate? *grin*

Tarot Tidbit: After not being seen for almost a year, The Lovers card is back for the second week in a row! Last week (May 5th) it was in the second position, and the time before that was way back on June 25, 2019.

2. Eight of Swords

Time to get moving. You’re stuck. None of the choices available to you seem right, so you’ve stopped moving forward. You’re afraid that if you make the wrong one, you’ll get hurt. However if you stay put, the choices only get worse. Stop overthinking and take a step – yes, there might be a little owie, but soon you’ll be back on the right track, and the pain will be behind you. As the saying (which makes me sentimental for my hometown of Gloucester, MA) goes, it’s time to fish or cut bait.

Tarot Tidbit: The Eight of Swords hasn’t been seen in almost a year! The last time, it was also in the second position, back on June 18th, 2019.

3. Seven of Pentacles

Just a little patience. You’re frustrated. You’ve spent a great deal of time and energy on a project/lifestyle change/person, and haven’t seen any results yet. You’ve planted the seed, watered it, given it fertilizer. Now comes the hard part – waiting. Be patient and let the earth, sun, and time do their growing thing, and you’ll see results soon enough. Take a tip from Axel, who said, “All we need is just a little patience.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Seven of Pentacles was last seen, in the first position, back towards the end of last year, on December 17th, 2019.
