Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of May 19th 2020.
First, another quick car update for all those awesomesauce people asking about our vehicle vexations – we were able to get the eldest’s car fixed within a few days (and after more than a few dollars… *gulp*) so we at least have wheels again. Our car is still in the process of having the engine replaced, and it’s now been just over two months since the saga started. Here’s to hoping it’s not another two months before it’s finished! 😝
Okay, now on with the reading – the method of doing these is not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them, here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. While this isn’t my artwork or my quote, I did put the two together after seeing a couple of versions of this meme floating around on social media without attrition. Many thanks to whoever got the original idea to combine the words of poetess Nichole McElhaney and the artwork of KushGraphic in such an amazing way!
Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. The Star
Make a wish. You’ve been to hell and back, but now is the time to put that all behind you. While you can’t (and shouldn’t) erase all the memories of the bad times, it’s within your power to make a positive change for the future. Remember, sometimes luck ain’t enough, you’ve got to make your own breaks. Look at the twinkling light in the darkness, close your eyes, and see your wish as already manifested. Can’t find the light? Pick up the closest mirror – this card is also a reminder that the one who is responsible for bringing the most light into our lives is ourselves.
Tarot Tidbit: Lately it seems The Star card likes to pop up once very month or so! It was last seen, also in the first position, on April 28th, 2020 and before that, it was in the second position on March 3rd, 2020.
2. King of Wands
Take Charge Time. You have the intelligence, you have the determination. Now point that wand in the direction you want to go, and don’t even think about wavering from your path until you get to your destination. See that itty bitty little salamander in the bottom right corner of the card? Think of it as a baby dragon (since salamanders are associated with fire), who just needs encouragement and direction. Soon it will be a fiercesome force to be reckoned with, and you will be as formidable as the Mother of Dragons.
Tarot Tidbit: The King of Wands was last seen, also in the second position, just a couple months ago on March 10th 2020.
3. Nine of Pentacles
Retreat from the world. You deserve a break today, so get up and get away, to … nope, not that place. Unless, of course, you go grab a bag of Mickey D’s and bring it someplace to enjoy in solitude because up next on the menu is, “Escape, with a side of pampering.” It can be as fancy as a day of mani pedis and wine, or as simple as a quiet room with a great book (the chocolate and coffee go without saying). Indulge, indulge, indulge – plenty of time for reality tomorrow.
Tarot Tidbit: The Nine of Pentacles last seen, in the second position, back at the end of last year on December 10th, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of May 19th 2020! Bright blessings to you!

Hello TY. Nice posting as always.
Thanks, tref! Miss you on Twitter – I’ve been hash tagging you in case you come back…
Thanks, I like to wipe the slate clean every so often with Twitter. It can be a very dark and bitter place to be, and ultimately, I think, damaging for your nervous system. When I return I will be sure to search you out.
