Tarot Tuesday reading for the week of May 4th 2021

Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in November 2015, then switched to every week almost a year later in September 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of May 4th 2021.

For anyone following my daily blog posting in the month of April, yes while I said on Sunday that I planned to keep going for at least a bit this week, I ended up skipping my Moon Monday post yesterday. It turned out to be a pretty busy day offline and as my self-imposed 7pm deadline approached I knew I could quickly put together a short post with a few pictures of the Full Pink Moon, or I could wait and do a more comprehensive one next week. So needless to say, I opted for option two! 😂

As for the reading – the setup of how I do these was not my original idea. I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I would also like to mention…

disclaimer

Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.

Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. While I’m happy that, after a relatively dry winter and some fire warnings in the area already this year, that we’re getting some much needed precipitation this week, I’m still wishing for some flower-filled springtime days. So I decided some quotos with sunny pictures would help tide me over until the May flowers appear!

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Nine of Pentacles

Retreat from the world. You deserve a break today, so get up and get away, to … nope, not that place. Unless, of course, you go grab a bag of Mickey D’s and bring it someplace to enjoy in solitude because up next on the menu is, “Escape, with a side of pampering.” It can be as fancy as a day of mani pedis and wine, or as simple as a quiet room with a great book (the chocolate and coffee go without saying). Indulge, indulge, indulge – plenty of time for reality tomorrow.

Tarot Tidbit: The Nine of Pentacles last seen, in the third position, just a couple of months ago on March 2nd, 2021.

2. Seven of Cups

Decisions, decisions. You know the saying, “Careful what you wish for – you might get it?” After wishing you had more options, suddenly you have a ton to choose from. Now is not the time to be dazzled by the display – instead, take some time to carefully consider the practicalities involved, and pick based on reality, not wishful thinking. This card also shows up for me as a reminder to stop dreaming, and start doing – or, in the immortal words of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, “Don’t dream it, be it.”

Tarot Tidbit: The Seven of Cups was last spotted, in the third position, just a few weeks ago on April 13th, 2021.

3. Judgement

Forgive and move on. You’ve been carrying a heavy burden on your shoulders – you’re feeling guilty about something in your past, or you’re angry at something that happened to you. In either case, it’s time to leave those things in the past, allow your wounds to heal (rather than constantly reopening them), and use your experiences to help others overcome their burdens. In fact, your pain might lead you to an awakening, and a new calling which will put you in a position to be the voice for those who can’t speak. And remember, “when you lose small mind, you free your life.

Tarot Tidbit: Judgement was last seen, in the first position, just a couple of months ago on March 9th, 2021.

Extra Tarot Tidbit: It struck me that all three of these cards have been seen in readings over the past two months – one from April and two from March. Not sure if that’s of any special significance to anyone, but thought I’d mention it just in case.

I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of May 4th 2021! Bright blessings to you!
