Welcome to another one of my Tarot Tuesday posts! I started doing these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’re by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of November 17th 2020.
Quick note – when I was putting this post together, I noticed the edging filter I used for one of my spoiler space preventative pictures, and thought it might spruce up the tarot photos a bit. So after I put together the usual graphics in Canva, I did an edit in PicMonkey to see how it would look. I think I like how it came out, but I also think I scrolled back and forth between the two versions so much that I can’t tell any more…lol! So the long and short of it is, I went with the revamped version for today – please let me know if you have any thoughts one way or the other on how the tarot cards look.
And now with that out of the way, it’s time to start the reading. The setup of how I do these was not my original idea – I was actually inspired by how a few other bloggers were doing their readings back years ago. And since this method is a little bit different than how some other readers on other social media do them (usually posting the card backs first, then the messages at a later time), here’s a quick breakdown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three, in whatever order you like!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I would also like to mention…
Now here are the backs of the cards for this week. Take a moment to clear your mind, inhale and exhale deeply, center yourself – whatever you need to do to focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post for the picture of the front of the cards, and your message.
Next up, as a bit of insurance policy to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting some of my infographics here as a type of spacer/spoiler prevention. While my crow friends haven’t stopped by for a visit in quite some time, this past week we’ve had an annoyance of grackles (which I personally think is anything but!) swoop in a few times. Since their first visit is what inadvertently interested me in crows to begin with, I thought I’d share a couple of quotos (one each for crows and grackles) I’ve put together in years past.

Now it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. The Hanged Man
Let go. Sometimes when you struggle to untie a knot, the more you pull at it, the tighter it gets. You’ve been tugging at a rope (an argument, a relationship, a situation) trying to get it untangled, but it’s only making things worse. Now it’s time to surrender, at least for a little while. Decide not to decide. Let things be for now. Do as the late, great John Lennon did when he was, “just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round, I really love to watch them roll. No longer riding on the merry-go-round, I just had to let it go.” You might even find that when you stop pulling, the knot releases on its own.
Tarot Tidbit: The Hanged Man was last seen, also in the first position, over the summer on July 21st, 2020.
2. Six of Wands
You did it! You had a rough go of it, and tons of competition (not to mention complications), but you pulled it off. However, you’re feeling a bit like William Thatcher/Sir Ulrich von Liechtenstein – either you feel someone else is getting the credit (in William’s case, his alias), or maybe you don’t feel you’re worthy. You totally kicked butt, and it’s time to own it! Stand tall and appreciate what you accomplished – you did yourself proud! Keep in mind what was said in the movie …
“Young William Thacher: Some day, I’ll be a knight.
Man in Stocks: A Thachers son? A knight? You might as well try to change the stars!
Young William Thacher: Can it be done father? Can a man change the stars?
John Thatcher: Yes William. If he believes enough, a man can do anything.
Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Wands hasn’t been spotted in almost two years! The last time it was also in the second position, way back on January 29th, 2019.
3. King of Wands
Take Charge Time. You have the intelligence, you have the determination. Now point that wand in the direction you want to go, and don’t even think about wavering from your path until you get to your destination. See that itty bitty little salamander in the bottom right corner of the card? Think of it as a baby dragon (since salamanders are associated with fire), who just needs encouragement and direction. Soon it will be a fiercesome force to be reckoned with, and you will be as formidable as the Mother of Dragons.
Tarot Tidbit: The King of Wands is breaking its streak! The last four times it’s shown up for Tarot Tuesday it was in the second position – on February 4th, 2020, March 10th 2020, May 19th, 2020, and most recently on October 6th, 2020). Before it started it’s second position stretch, it was in the third position on November 26th, 2019 – I wonder if this means it’s getting reading for a new streak?
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of November 17th! Bright blessings to you!
