Belated Solstice blessings, early Merry Christmas wishes, and happy holidays everyone! Welcome to another one of my weekly Tarot Tuesday card readings. I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’ve been by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of December 24th 2019.
Quick shout out to everyone looking forward to Santa’s arrival overnight or other holiday tidings – I know that even in the best of times, the silly season can sometimes be challenging. For the past eighteen years this month has been bittersweet – we’ve had our three babies (now all adults) gathered around the tree, but in December 2001 we lost both my maternal grandmother (mid month) and my father (from Alzheimer’s on New Year’s Eve). Some years have been easier than others, and we’ve been very lucky that my mother has been a large presence throughout their younger years, and we’ve been able to have her visit here and there in recent times. Which is my very long winded way of saying if you’re struggling, I understand and I’m keeping everyone who is having their heart poked at the moment in my thoughts.
At any rate, now let’s get on with the second to last Tarot reading of the year. Since I do mine are a little different than some other readers on other social media (though it’s definitely not my original idea – in fact, I was inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here’s a quick rundown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention…
Here are the backs of the cards (it’s a brand new picture every week). Take a moment to clear your mind, center yourself, and focus. When you’re ready, take a look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of my post for your message.
Next, to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m adding a graphic here as a sort of a spacer/spoiler prevention. Since one of my favorite digital artists released a new Christmas wallpaper last month, I thought it would be the perfect thing to share here, especially since I shared one of his older wallpapers back in 2014, when I kickstarted my blogging by participating in NaBloPoMo (and I haven’t stopped ever since). First, here is his latest…
…and this is the one I shared exactly five years ago…
Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. King of Pentacles
Tried & true will get you through This King is more a great overseer than a leader. He can take a step back and see the big picture, and employ practical solutions to reach his goals. This is what you need to do to create your prosperity – take a calm look around, focus on quality not quantity, and soon enough you’ll be saying, “Been dreaming of this since a child/I’m on top of the world/I’ve tried to cut these corners/Try to take the easy way out/I kept on falling short of something/I coulda gave up then but/Then again I couldn’t have ’cause/I’ve traveled all this way for something.” That something is within your grasp.
Tarot Tidbit: In all the time I’ve been doing Tarot Tuesdays, this is only the second time I’ve drawn the King of Pentacles! The last time it was in the third position, way way back close to two years ago on February 27th, 2018!
2. Two of Wands
Stay focused. You’ve put your plan into action, and you’re beginning to see all the possibilities before you. However, you might be tempted at this point to try a short cut in the hopes of speeding up the process. While it might pay off, sometimes it’s better to stand fast and remind yourself of what you’re working towards while continuing the slow and steady path to success. Take a moment to look at the big picture, and know that your ships are on their way in, and soon you’ll be the king of the world!
Tarot Tidbit: The Two of Wands was last spotted, in the first position, last spring on April 23rd, 2019.
3. Page of Pentacles
Light bulb moment. You’ve had a sudden inspiration or revelation, and now you’re eager to put things in motion. Go for it! This is a great time to work on manifesting those dreams. Pay close attention to what the Page is doing in this card, though – instead of racing forward, take careful, measured steps, and remember to keep your eyes on the prize and your feet firmly planted on the ground. Set goals, learn the necessary skills, and let common sense be your guide. Slow and steady wins the race!
Tarot Tidbit: The Page of Pentacles was last seen, in the second position, as recently as October 1st, 2019. However prior to that, it hadn’t been seen in just over two years – its prior showing was also in the second position on September 12th, 2017.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of December 24th 2019! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
