Tarot Tuesday weekly reading for December 3rd 2019

Happy Tarot Tuesday! Welcome to another one of my weekly tarot card readings. I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, then switched to every week in early 2016. They’ve been by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. Today’s reading is for the week of December 3rd 2019.

First, I wanted to mention that last week, a few people noticed I posted this a little earlier than my usual time of 8am – like, five hours earlier! Since hubby has been home recovering from his shoulder surgery, our sleep schedules have gotten a bit… wonky. I typically schedule these posts to auto publish on WordPress (which then auto posts to Steem via SteemPress), but a couple of times lately I’ve noticed WP has been a bit cranky, and my post doesn’t go out as planned. I actually set alarms for a few weeks, to make sure I was up in time to check, when it occurred to me last week that there’s no reason I can’t send it out right after midnight. So for now, until I need to have an earlier bedtime, I’ll be posting these right before I hit the hay on Monday night (which will technically be wicked early Tuesday morning). Just thought I’d let everyone know why I’ve changed things up a bit. I’m also thinking about redoing the weekly graphic designs again, like I did at the beginning of this year – please shout out and let me know if you’d like to see something new, or if you’re happy with the current incarnation.

Okay, now on to the Tarot reading. Since I do mine are a little different than some other readers on other social media (though it’s definitely not my original idea – in fact, I was inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here’s a quick rundown on how this works…

First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!

When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.

Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊

I should also mention…

Now, here are the backs of the cards (and yep, it’s a brand new picture every week). Take a moment to center yourself and focus. When you’re ready, look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of my post for your message.

Next, to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m adding a graphic here as a bit of a spacer/spoiler prevention. A few days ago, I was browsing through my Pinterest, and noticed that somehow, my infographic from 2017 (which was a redo from the one from 2014…lol) for The Legend of the Christmas Spider and Tinsel never got pinned! Dopey me! Before I uploaded it, I decided to give it a complete overhaul again (although I’ve also put the old one up on Pinterest and below as well, for good measure).

Finally, it’s now time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…

…and the messages for each card are…

1. Four of Swords

Take a break. You’ve been “Go Speed Racer Go” for some time now, and it’s understandable that you’re running out of gas. Time to pull over to a rest stop, refuel, and just relax for a bit. You need a little time off your feet (physically and mentally), so you can get back on the road and not worry about breaking down. And yes, this is one of those scary looking cards that tends to get misinterpreted, but I personally call this the “chill out” card. *grin*

Tarot Tidbit: The Four of Swords was last seen, in the third position, way back earlier this year, on April 2nd, 2019.

2. Queen of Swords

Cold hard truth. You’re getting caught up in emotions and speculation, so it’s no wonder you can’t make a decision. Sometimes you need to take a step back to gain some perspective. Try the “just the facts ma’am” approach – look at the situation from a practical, factual point of view, and see if the answer, as unappealing as it might be, appears. When this card shows up, I ask myself, “WWSD (what would Scully do?)” and remind myself that “Sometimes looking for extreme possibilities makes you blind to the probable explanation right in front of you.

Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Swords was last spotted in the third position on June 11th, 2019 .

3. Queen of Pentacles

Nurture your dreams. Sometimes it’s hard to hang on to your vision for a brighter future, especially when it seems everything is going wrong and everyone is against you. But with a little confidence in yourself, and a lot of positive attitude, you can do this! Be the supportive and caring motherly type for your own self for a change, and keep in mind (as the saying goes), “Always be on the lookout for ways to turn a problem into an opportunity for success. Always be on the lookout for ways to nurture your dream.

Tarot Tidbit: The Queen of Pentacles was last spotted, in the second position, back in the spring on August 20th, 2019 – it also happens to be only the third time the Queen of Pentacles has made an appearance on a Tarot Tuesday.
