Happy Tarot Tuesday! Welcome to another one of my weekly tarot card readings. I started posting these free readings monthly back in late 2015, and switched to weekly in early 2016. They are by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. The reading today is for the week of November 12th 2019.
A quick shout out first – I’m planning to do a separate post (possibly on Thursday) about this, but I wanted to mention that yesterday was the one year anniversary of the day that Freddie appeared at our front door. After a few weeks of looking for his possible owners and getting him healthy, we realized that we’d become his owners! I thought to honor the occasion, especially since a number of people were so interested in his situation (a few of whom even generously donated towards his surgery) that I’d show everyone how his story turned out. For now, here’s the picture we took that first night to put on social media while trying to find out if he had a family…
Okay, now back to the Tarot reading! Since I do mine are a little different than some other readers on other social media (though it’s definitely not my original idea – in fact, I was inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here’s a quick rundown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this exactly on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention…
Now, here are the backs of the cards (and yep, it’s a brand new picture every week). Take a moment to center yourself and focus. When you’re ready, look at the photo and then decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of my post for your message.
Next, to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m adding a graphic here as a bit of a spacer/spoiler prevention. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a full moon infographic, so since tonight is the Full Mourning Moon I figured it would be the perfect time to put one together.
Finally, it’s time for the big reveal! Here are the fronts of the cards…
…and the messages for each card are…
1. Two of Cups
Makes the world go ’round. While it’s easy to see this is a card about love, what’s not so obvious is that it also represents other relationships, not just the romantic one between two (or more) people. This could be a recent furry/feathered addition to the family, a passion for a creative process (writing, painting, knitting), or even something as simple as discovering a new favorite show to binge-watch (like Farscape or Jessica Jones). It’s also a reminder that the first, most important love we should have is for ourselves. As the late, great Lucille Ball once said, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”
Tarot Tidbit: The Two of Cups was last seen, in the second position, just a few weeks ago on October 22nd, 2019.
2. Five of Cups
Snap out of it. You’ve had a run of bad luck, and it seems like every time you turn around, something (or someone) is knocking over a cup of your happiness. While you’re not wrong, you’re forgetting something important – you have plenty of other cups still standing. Focusing on what’s gone wrong, and what you’ve lost, won’t stand the cups back up again and make the water reappear. Voice your disappointment, give yourself a little time to wallow, then pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again.
Tarot Tidbit: The Five of Cups hasn’t been seen since the beginning of the year! The last time, it was in the third position, on January 8th, 2019.
3. Judgement
Forgive and move on. You’ve been carrying a heavy burden on your shoulders – you’re feeling guilty about something in your past, or you’re angry at something that happened to you. In either case, it’s time to leave those things in the past, allow your wounds to heal (rather than constantly reopening them), and use your experiences to help others overcome their burdens. In fact, your pain might lead you to an awakening, and a new calling which will put you in a position to be the voice for those who can’t speak. And remember, “when you lose small mind, you free your life.”
Tarot Tidbit: Judgement was last seen, in the second position, just a couple weeks ago on October 29th, 2019.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of November 12th, 2019! Bright blessings to you!
