Happy Tarot Tuesday! Welcome to another one of my free weekly tarot card readings – I started doing these readings monthly back in late 2015, and switched to weekly ones in early 2016. They are by far my most popular posts, as well as being one of my favorites to put together. The reading today is for the week of September 24th 2019.
If this is the first visit you’ve stumbled across one of my tarot posts – thank you for dropping by! If you’ve been here before – thank you so much for the return visit!
Before I get started though, I wanted to quickly (for me…lol!) explain why my WordPress blog comment section looks a little bit different today. Back forever ago, when I first started using the SteemPress plugin to auto post my blogs over to the Steem blockchain, they didn’t yet have (as far as I can recall) the option to show the comments I get on Steem on my WordPress site. At some point they included the option, and I’ve been meaning to enable it for ages now.
Thanks to a post by @paulag, coupled with a big announcement from SteemPress (which I plan to do a post about some time in the next week), got me to finally tick the box on my plugin a couple days ago, so my WordPress visitors can now see comments from my Steem visitors. In the meantime though, if you have any questions about this whole cryptoblogging thing, please feel free to shout out. 😊
Okay, so now on with the Tarot Tuesday-ness! Since my readings are a little different than some other readers on other social media (although it’s by no means original – I was actually inspired by a couple other WordPress bloggers), here’s a quick rundown on how this works…
First, pick a card you are drawn to from the photo below. If more than one speaks to you, go ahead and pick that one too. You can even pick all three!
When you’ve decided on your card (or cards), scroll down to the bottom of the page for the photo revealing the card faces, and your message for the upcoming week.
Also, don’t be worried if you don’t happen to see this on Tuesday. The message will be ready and waiting for you whenever you get here. 😊
I should also mention…
Now, it’s time to get started with your reading for the week of September 24th 2019. Here are the backs of the cards for this week (and for the record yes, it’s a new picture each week). Take a moment to focus. When you’re ready, look at the photo to decide which one (or ones) speaks to you. After that, scroll down to the bottom of the post for your message.
Next, to make sure you don’t see the picture of the front of the cards before you’ve made your choice, I’m putting a graphic here as a bit of a spacer/spoiler prevention. While the fall equinox/Mabon was yesterday, I thought I’d still share this infographic I put together a few years ago for a ritual I created.
Time now to reveal the front of the cards! Here’s the picture…
…and my messages for each card are…
1. The Hierophant
The Mystic. When you’re in the middle of a crisis, and you feel like you’re all alone, this card is a reminder that all of your ancestors, your community, your family (blood or chosen) are still there with you, even if you can’t see or feel them. I like to think of this as the Mr. Miyagi card – someone who steps in and teaches you the knowledge you need to stop the bullies. Sometimes though, this card shows up for me when I get a little too wrapped up in the “right” and traditional way of doing something. It means I need to remember to honor the spirit of the ritual, and not sweat the details.
Tarot Tidbit: After not having been seen for close to a year, The Hierophant is back after being seen, in the third position, on June 18th, 2019.
2. Six of Cups
Happier times. You’ve discovered, or rediscovered something you love. Maybe a hobby long forgotten, or a person you’re reconnecting with. You now recognize how much you care. This is the start of something beautiful and meaningful – cherish it. This may also be a reminder that if you’re in the middle of some dark times, and you’re longing for the the idyllic days in your past, stop wasting your energy wishing for what’s gone. Don’t look back – focus instead on the positive memories, and use them to inspire new ones.
Tarot Tidbit: The Six of Cups was last seen, in the first position, a couple months back on July 2nd, 2019.
3. Ace of Cups
The cup of inspiration. You are getting ideas, thoughts, tentative plans, maybe even considering a new love (be it person or artistic endeavor). You have a sense of something percolating just under the surface. It’s not your imagination. In the wise words of Natasha Bedingfield you are “Reaching for something in the distance / So close you can almost taste it / Release your inhibitions / Feel the rain on your skin / No one else can feel it for you / Only you can let it in.” You’ve been thirsty for something, and now you’re getting a taste of what you want. Go for it!
Tarot Tidbit: The Ace of Cups hasn’t been seen in a year and a half! The last time was back on March 20th, 2018, also in the third position.
I hope you enjoyed your message for the week of September 24th 2019! Bright blessings to you!
Thanks for stopping by!
