Welcome to Tarot Tuesday! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to catch the next one, be sure to follow my blog, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left). I shout out just about everywhere when I have a new post up.
On to the reading! Here is a picture of the three cards I drew, from my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck. Pick the one that resonates with you, then scroll down for the card reveal and my short interpretation. Oh, and while it probably doesn’t need to be said, I’m saying it anyway – this is for fun, and my messages should never be a substitute for your own good judgement and common sense. In fact, that applies to most things in life – if your gut tells you it’s not right, always listen.
Now, here are the cards. Which one are you drawn to?
Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?

This!
1. The Hierophant
The Mystic. When you’re in the middle of a crisis, and you feel like you’re all alone, this card is a reminder that all of your ancestors, your community, your family (blood or chosen) are still there with you, even if you can’t see or feel them. I like to think of this as the Mr. Miyagi card – someone who steps in and teaches you the knowledge you need to stop the bullies. Sometimes though, this card shows up for me when I get a little too wrapped up in the “right” and traditional way of doing something. It means I need to remember to honor the spirit of the ritual, and not sweat the details.
2. Page of Cups
The Look of Love. I think of this as the Romeo card – time to fall in love, either with a person, a story idea, a creative project, or something of that sort. You may also be receiving a message of love from someone – maybe not as overt as flowers and chocolate, but something to show they care. It could be as simple as a bringing you a fresh cup of coffee, or sharing a Facebook meme, that shows they are thinking of you. Artistically, it’s that moment of sudden inspiration, when you see your project in a new light, or a bizarre-yet-brilliant idea presents itself – go with it.
3. Six of Cups
Happier times. You’ve discovered, or rediscovered something you love. Maybe a hobby long forgotten, or a person you’re reconnecting with. You now recognize how much you care. This is the start of something beautiful and meaningful – cherish it. This may also be a reminder that if you’re in the middle of some dark times, and you’re longing for the the idyllic days in your past, stop wasting your energy wishing for what’s gone. Focus instead on the positive memories, and use them to inspire new ones.

So, what did you think of your message? Please be sure to shout out in the comment section, and let me know what you thought. And, as is the case with all my posts, if you enjoyed it, please feel free to share. Bright blessings!
I am having a weird situation in that my feed is showing me the cards. ACK! Anyway, now that I know that, I’m trying to head over to you on Tuesdays first. (I also am taking to squinting at my feed.)
That said I think I got 2, but I went back & forth between 1 & 2 for a bit…. so I may choose both for this week. 😉
(I follow someone on Twitter who is doing this too, and I find I really love it. It really lights me up to want to draw my own cards.)
Ugh, Em! That’s totally not cool of your feed. 🙁
Oh, and I see no problem choosing multiples, if you’re having a hard time deciding. 😀
I saw a number of people doing this last fall, which inspired me to do the monthly thing, so I totally relate to being lit up by other people to draw your cards. Bright blessings!
I’m listening to the audio version “The Night Circus” and realizing how little I know about tarot cards. They seem so fascinating and full of stories.
Thank you for reminding me of that book, Cyn! Anything that has its beginnings in NaNoWriMo has a special place in my heart, and I’ve been meaning to check it out. Oh, and feel free to shout out if you’re ever interested in learning more about Tarot – the history is almost as fascinating as the cards themselves.
Night Circus is on my TBR pile & I had no clue it began in NaNo! The things you learn!
Wicked coolness, em! 😀
