Welcome to my very first Tarot Tuesday! My monthly free Tarot card readings were so popular, I decided to make them a weekly feature. If you want to catch the next one, be sure to follow my blog, stalk my Facebook, Twitter, or other social media (all my links are in the widget on the left). I shout out just about everywhere when I have a new post up.
On to the reading! Here is a picture of the three cards I drew, from my Universal Waite Smith Tarot Deck. Pick the one that resonates with you, then scroll down for the card and my short interpretation.
Okay, you’ve picked your card, right?

This!
My interpretation, based on what I’d think if I drew this as my daily Tarot Card.
1. Eight of Pentacles
Finnegan Begin Again. One of the best, most reliable ways to make things better is slow, steady, and focused work. You’ve been scattered and unfocused because of the turmoil around you. It’s time to take a deep breath, and if necessary, start from the beginning again. Try not to think about the end game – instead give your attention to ensuring the details are right, and you’re doing your best work. Oh, and thanks to the movie from the 80s (and my husband for getting it stuck in my brain), I can’t hear the phrase, “begin again” without adding Finnegan. *grin*
2. King of Wands
Take Charge Time. You have the intelligence, you have the determination. Now point that wand in the direction you want to go, and don’t even think about wavering from your path until you get to your destination. See that itty bitty little salamander in the bottom right corner of the card? Think of it as a baby dragon (since salamanders are associated with fire), who just needs encouragement and direction, and soon it will be a fiercesome force to be reckoned with.
3. The Devil
Check your chains. Take a look at the things you think are holding you back. You might find the chains are loose enough to escape from, and your captivity was an illusion all along. I also tend to draw this card I get when I need to do a reality check – how much am I overindulging in things (gaming, alcohol, chocola… wait a second, there’s such thing as chocolate overindulgence), or how uptight am I being (afraid to splurge, nervous to try new things).

Jen, that’s wicked awesomesauce! 😀
Two. I’m hoping it’s for this new series I’m writing…
Wait a second – ANOTHER new series? Holy smokes, girl – you’re totally on fire! 😀
I picked #1, the eight of pentacles. A very appropriate card for me this week! Thanks Traci 🙂
Yay! I’m so glad, Diana! 🙂
8 of pentacles, which I always think of as the craftsperson creating. Since that’s what I need to get down to, it works for me.
Excellent, Em!
