Last year, not only did I do a regular blog post about Samhain, I also had one called, “5 Witchy ways to celebrate Halloween” published on the SheKnows site. For Samhain 2016, I plan to put together another simple ritual like I did for Mabon. I’ll have that posted for next week’s Witchy Wednesday – for now, here’s an updated graphic for the occasion.
Counting the days! *grin*
Samhain 2016. Samhain October 31, 2016. Samhain is the third and final harvest festival of the year. Also known as All Hallow’s Eve. It is considered by many Pagans to be the start of a new year. Also the time when the veil between worlds is the thinnest. Colors – Black, orange, and white. Symbols – Bonfires and fire in general, black cats, pumpkins and turnips, ghosts, pomegranates, and besoms (brooms). Ritual work – Divination, communing with ancestors, candle spells, visualization, banishing, manifesting, releasing the old and welcoming the new, honoring those we have lost.First, this is not a passive voice. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going while until you turn green. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success!
