WW – Super Full Hunter’s Moon in Taurus

October 27th, 2015 at 8:05am (EST) is the Super Full Hunter’s Moon in Taurus. It’s also the last of the Super Moons for 2015. Here’s a bit more information about Super Moons from The Alabama Media Group

August’s full moon (No. 4) was also a supermoon but was overshadowed by September’s full moon on Sept. 27 (No. 5) — which was not only a supermoon but also coincided with a full lunar eclipse, producing what is called a “blood moon.”

October’s full moon will be slightly less spectacular — and it will reach its fullest point at an off-hour for most in the U.S. — 7:05 a.m. CDT.

To qualify as a supermoon (at least by one definition) a new or full moon has to come within 224,834 miles of Earth, as measured from the centers of the moon and Earth.

October’s supermoon will come within 222,744 miles of Earth, making it the fifth-closest moon of 2015.

September’s full moon was the closest to Earth — coming within 221,753 miles of our planet. The full moon’s next closest approach to Earth will be on Nov. 14, 2016.

The next supermoon won’t arrive for another year (October 16, 2016, to be exact) so be sure to take advantage of this one. Here’s the graphic I created for the occasion –
