Witchy Wednesday – Leo: Wondering Where The Lions Are

Ever since this song by Bruce Cockburn came out when I was little (a thousand years ago), I’ve always associated it with my favorite sign of the zodiac. Even though, as it turns out, it’s not really about lions, I still love it. Today, the sun arrived in the glorious sign of Leo, so I created the following graphic to mark the occasion.

This is the first picture I’ve used in ages that isn’t my own. Originally, I planned to take pictures of the various lions I own, and use one of those, but I decided to take a peek around the intertubes to see if there were any good, royalty-free photos around (I’m a sucker for lion photographs). Amazingly, I found the following picture, courtesy of Kevin Pluck (the original photo is called, “King and Queen of Namibia“).

Also, on Wikipedia, I found a cool little thing called Gregorian Birthstone Poems. These are the stanzas that refer to July (because the best Leos are born in this month… *wink*) –

The glowing ruby shall adorn,
Those who in July are born;
Then they’ll be exempt and free
From love’s doubts and anxiety.

Bright birthday blessings to all of my sister and brother Leos!

This is not a passive voice. I am writing in an active voice. My SEO will stop telling me how to write. Leo. These sentences are also shorter than twenty words. Stop being so controlling. Especially since most of the sentences in this post are not mine. I will keep going until you turn green. Leo. I can’t believe this is still orange. Finally, it has turned. Success!
