I’m putting together some Zazzle greeting cards featuring my feathered friends for my mother and thought I’d share it as a post, so she has a chance to approve the order before I send it in. It seemed rather fitting, since my last feathered friends post was the reason she wanted to order more cards in the first place…lol!
I know I don’t usually advertise my Zazzle shop at all much, other than the static widget I put together for my WordPress blog, but I do still manage to get the odd sale here and there – usually the greeting cards, but occasionally a mug. I still find it amazing that people actually want my photos hanging on their walls, or covering their beds!
All of the shots below have probably appeared either on my WordPress and/or my Hive blogs over the past six years, or on my other social media. However, I’ve given them all fresh edits for their greeting card debut. I’ve paired each photo with a preview of the product on Zazzle, but I haven’t actually created the cards yet, so I can’t link to each product. If anyone is interested, I can do a followup post later in the week with the finished cards & links to each.
These were taken with my Nikon (although I believe a couple were from my old Olympus days), sometimes affixed to my tripod, in my Durham New Hampshire yard.
So mom, I know you said to just pick whatever ones I wanted beyond the two you chose, but I ended up with over forty shots in my “Potentials” folder! So please let me know if you want any of these replaced with a different feathered friend (or the same, but a different pose) since I have plenty of others to choose from. Putting the actual cards & order together will be pretty quick once I know which photos I’m going to use.
Oh, and I was able to get a few left-to-right orientations, to break up all the up-and-down ones a bit. I used the Daisy product preview from Zazzle for the left/right ones, and the Orchid for the others, to try to make it a bit more obvious which ones are which. And for the very last card, I couldn’t decide which one looked better, so I included both so you can make the decision… nice of me, eh? 😂
Now, for the photos paired with the potential cards…
